I almost always want to know more. For essays, you have to compare things and give reasons, and draw from multiple sources of knowledge.
I would say that learning is pretty easy for me and that is probably one of the reasons that I like so much unless there is a really good show on TV. That just is not the way that I like to communicate what I know and yes I know that it shows what you know better than a multiple choice test.
Another strength that I have is that I am very curious. Memory is also helpful in science and math. For example, in Humanities, it would make more sense to me if you were allowed to use the books that you have read to write the essay. And I realize that those essay tests are a lot easier for me than they are for some students.
Many people would respond to this by saying that learning is much more than just spitting something back out that you have memorized. Multiple choice just makes so much sense to me. The unfinished task just nags at the back of my mind otherwise. One of my strengths is that I am really good at memorization. I like being engaged in class and wondering what is going to come next, and if the teacher is doing their job well, that is what happens.
I would have to agree with that but having a good memory can be very helpful in certain learning situations. Another strength that I have is that I am outgoing.
Thankfully, I would say that I have more strengths than weaknesses in this area and this has helped me get to where I am today. You have to know how to do certain types of problems that are crucial to the study of those subjects. It gets me involved in my learning and I actively engage myself rather than being a passive learner.
Having something memorized does not necessarily mean that you have understood or learned the material. It just clicks that there is only one right answer.
I really prefer multiple choice or short answer. All in all, I would say that I am a pretty strong learner despite my dislike for essay tests.
